THEY LOVE US!
About a year ago, I did an online search of local beauty salons, in the hope of finding someone whose skills matched those found in upscale salons on Madison Avenue. After a few tries elsewhere, I finally found Geeta Harjani—a consummate professional whose salon and beauty bar are conveniently located in vibrant, downtown New Brunswick. Not only does she excel in cutting and styling hair, she’s a master colorist who teaches her craft at workshops around the country. Soft-spoken, friendly, and highly knowledgeable, Geeta is a rare breed who takes time to establish a rapport with each customer and takes immense pride in the work she does. She possesses the dedication and exacting standards of an artist.

If I wasn’t the model in this before and after picture I would say the after picture must have been touched up. But nothing was airbrushed. Geeta from Geetaz Eclectic Beauty Bar in New Brunswick, NJ did my hair and make up for a black tie event and she honestly transformed me. I highly recommend making an appointment for a special event, or just to treat yourself when you need a boost. You will walk out feeling like a million bucks. Geeta is also a master colorist. You just cannot go wrong when you go to Geetaz Eclectic Beauty Bar.

Geeta is sublimely talented! She really took the time to figure out exactly what would work best on my hair type and also meet my hopes in terms of color! Geeta and her assistant made me feel completely at ease and offered one of the best salon experiences I've ever had! The bayalage treatment gave me very natural looking results and I love my cut! "Got my hair done today after a v v long time. Geeta made me look fabulous! my hair literally looked like straw as I had neglected then for almost 3 years. She gave me a cool balayage treatment in reddish brown colors uth a fab cut. Looks just awesome! The color is rich and hair feels so soft now.had my eyebrows done for the first time.... Didn't feel any discomfort. She really has gentle magic hands and she def knows her stuff. A+++ ! I've already made my appt for a facial too. I love this place!!!"

She is also very kind, professional and thorough with her services. You can definitely tell by her work that she is properly trained and educated to do this work. "I have a crazy busy job and live more than an hour away from my office, so it's been a real trial to find a hairdresser than can fit into my schedule. I tried someone closer to home, at the Jersey Shore, but they could never accommodate me, always had to wait weeks! I had seen Geetaz as i walked around New Brunswick on lunch hours, etc. so I gave her a call. I called on a Friday and she took me the following Monday. Geeta took the right amount of time consulting with me, asking about what I was looking for, what my daily routine was, etc., before getting started. Geeta cut my hair exactly the way i asked her to, she didn't venture off into what SHE wanted to do.. It looked beautiful when i left, and more importantly the cut falls perfectly, i have no trouble doing my hair myself, in the same 6 minutes I allow myself in the morning. Geeta is lovely and friendly, very calming personality. She also continually pursues her education, and is in the middle of a master colorist program right now, she is not content to just rest on training she had 5 or 10 years ago, she told me how important it is to keep current on techniques and ideas. I am so glad I went to her, and I will definitely go back."

Just had my first haircut with Geeta. She is a wonderful woman who really takes pride in her work and does a great job. I am very picky about haircuts, and she gave me exactly what I asked for. I will definitely be going back.

I have been a client of Geetaz for a few years. Geeta is the only stylist who actually listens to and can fulfill my all of my requests and who I could trust to take on extravagant jobs for a fair price.
That's why this month I felt confident coming to Geetaz with an elaborate request - to go from an ashy brown brunette to an icy blonde with pastel blue accents.
Geeta did not disappoint. She was extremely meticulous with the execution and my hair came out flawless and fabulous. Last year, she did my warm brown/golden ombre on which I had received innumerable compliments.
Of course, she also does makeup, waxing/threading, facials, weddings, and other services. But my hair is truly my pride and joy, and there is no one else I'd ever trust it to.
In response to the other review down below - most of the time, Geeta is the only person working there because there isn't anyone around who has the qualifications to work there. She really is THAT good. And never in my 4+ years of coming here has Geeta ever been "forceful" about selling a product...she is one of the most friendly, down-to-earth people I've known.

"As a student at Rutgers, I’ve been going to Geetaz for three years now. I’m a guy but I still go to a place called “Beauty Bar” because I always get compliments on my haircuts coming out of here. It’s not only for women, Geeta has college student discounts on certain days, and I’ve never been unhappy with my hair. I even make special trips over breaks just to get my haircut here. Highly recommended. Only downside for a college student is you’re paying more – but it’s for quality."

"I had come across Geetaz business card sometime in February. My fiance and I had an engagement party last month and I needed to find someone to do my makeup. We spoke on the phone and booked a trial for a couple days later. She is very sweet, patient and willing to listen to your thoughts and concerns. I booked her immediately after the trial. The hair and makeup for my engagement party was amazing, I cannot even county the number of compliments I received that day. She made me look and feel beautiful. Girls if you need someone to do your bridal makeup, or even makeup book geetaz!"

"I have been going to Geetaz since I moved to the area over a year ago and only have great things to say. Geeta is so sweet, attentive, and professional. The salon is very nice and clean. She recently cut and colored my hair and I love it! I haven't colored my hair in over 10 years because I've been moving on a yearly basis and haven't found a stylist I trusted, but now I have! I've received tons of compliments on my new look. I also have my eyebrows threaded on a regular basis and always am happy with the shape. I definitely recommend Geetaz for cuts, colors, and threading! I know she does facials too and am planning to schedule one soon! I'm sure it will be awesome as well!"
